Job Description

He/She will be responsible for examine data to determine patterns and trends in RICE economic activity, conduct research to collect data and market samples, as well as working closely with cooperatives and governmental institutions. Fundamental aspects of the role include good knowledge in crops farming , public relation capabilities and proper understanding of the framework of local rice farming; In addition, the role includes management of a team with senior responsibilities, as well as direct client support activities on farm. Agricultural industry knowledge is essential for this role.

Strategical effectiveness

As an PR agent: he is required to maintain good relationships with media houses, organize PR activations to promote the company’s image and serve as the spokesperson. Focus on marketing the company through partnerships and advertising.

Operational Effectiveness

Produces high quality research and analysis of target sectors for use by both internal and external stakeholders.

Supports other analysts in producing thought leading research within RICE sector.

Initiates new business ideas/insights for clients.

Improve the selection and quality of crop production

Master fertilizers and plant protection products

Listen to farmers’ needs to find, for example, the cereals best suited to a chalky soil and providing advice to plant producers.

Prepares quality research publications targeted at rural, RICE business and corporate clients.

Produces reports and presentations on the back of research.

Shares global sector views with clients and local sector views where applicable.

Supports the profiling of leader to its clients by creating unique, innovative, and differentiating views.

Provides media commentary on key issues relating to RICE sectors.

Verifying data integrity and report accuracy ensuring clients’ satisfaction.

Ensuring optimal performance and follow best practices.

Coordinating the needs of users with the development team;

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Soil Science or related field.

Working experience with farming cooperatives is required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a food or agribusiness sustainability related analytical or business development role with an agribusiness company or an industry association.

Knowledge of agriculture and agricultural accounting systems

Data analysis experience

Multilanguage skills can be an advantage

High level MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills

Ability to work to deadlines under pressure

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

Project management and problem-solving experience

Have a driving license
