Role Responsibilities/ Responsabilités du rôle
JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of a Logistics Coordinator is to implement delegated area of responsibility. The role of the Logistics Coordinator position is to assist the logistics Manager to coordinate logistics activities in Cameroon.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Generic responsibilities
Implement NRC’s systems and procedures at country and area offices.
Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements.
Contributes to the preparation of logistical reports for operations, analysis, and the consolidation of logistical reports for the mission.
Ensure proper filing of all support documents in office 365
Support Logistics manager with procedures and training of support team in the field
Support line managers in procedures and require support team trainings related to logistic.
Line management of the logistic team including recruitment and performance management
Provide anti-corruption, transparency, and cost efficiency focus in all processes (e.g., in distribution, vehicle management, asset management, warehouse management)
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities are not exhaustive and shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus, and type of programme intervention.
Provided operational support to logistics teams for the smooth running of logistics operations.
Coordinate technical training sessions for Area Officers and Logistics team in accordance with NRC policies.
Monitor the maintenance of equipment for NRC Cameroon offices.
Assists the entire mission on technical issues (energy, satellite communications, computer, and office equipment), and performs ad hoc field assignments as required.
Responsible for archiving in office 365 according to NRC standards and policies in effect in the Country Program
Verify, Analyze and compile logistic reports of the different offices according to the reporting schedule (asset report, stock report, narrative report, vehicle and generator tracking report);
Directly management assets according to the rules and procedures in place
In charge of tracking and bills of Terra Mar, Tomcard filling, etc.
Supports the Logistics Manager in preparing teams for internal and external audits in the Country.
Monitoring the leave and WDP of staffs under his/her responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional competencies
Generic professional competencies:
Experience from working as a Logistics Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery contex
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
Holder of an advanced degree in the field of logistics would be a plus.
At least five (05) years’ progressive experience in INGO.
Experience working with donors like NMFA/NORAD, GFFO, ECHO, USAID, UNHCR, SIDA will be a strong advantage.
Should be very bilingual, speaking and writing English and French

Salary/benefits: Grade 7 according to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions
Duty station: Yaoundé with 50% travel
Contract duration: March 2023
