Role Responsibilities/ Responsabilités du rôle

Summary

ENKO Education currently includes 13 schools in 9 African countries. We are willing to develop a group

of more than 60 schools by 2026, offering more and more students across Africa with a launchpad to

the world’s best universities.

Under functional supervision of the Group IT Manager, the IT Analyst assist the coordination and improvment of the IT systems of our schools. The IT Analyst will also assist in managing hardwares, softwares and network resources of Enko.

Duties and responsibilities

Meeting with users to discuss the scope of their needs

Analyzing existing programs for improvement or modification purposes

Researching and designing new software systems, websites, programs, and applications.

Writing and implementing, clean and scalable code.

Recommending and executing program improvements, with user feedback

Creating technical documents and training staff.

Manage technology services (computers, internet access, user’s access, network, printers, softwares, etc.)

Installs and maintains routers and switches (Mikrotik, Juniper, Cisco, etc.)

Installs, configures and maintains wireless networks.

Configures and maintains essential IP services including DHCP, SMTP on Windows and Linux servers and desktop systems.

Configures and maintains web content filtering system(s).

Participates in the documentation and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures

Participates in development of IT Service Catalog offerings, Service Level Agreements, and Operating Level Agreements consistent with the needs of the organization.

Participates as a member of the IT management team in planning, problem resolution (through the Group Helpdesk), and reviewing department performance.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; at least 2 years of responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

Advanced knowledge of programming languages including JavaScript, HTML5, Python

Knowledge of software systems and frameworks including Node.JS, Git, MySQL, MongoDB

IP services including DNS/BIND, DHCP, SMTP and SNMP (Windows, Linux)

Ethernet networking protocols and analysis

Data security design, principles and practices

Skills and Abilities Required

Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.

Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly

Good communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team or individually on a project

Location

The job is based in Douala, with possible travels to our schools across Africa.
