The project Engineering Leader is responsible for the engineering master plan and asset improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage CAPEX projects (start, push, success, learning, cost, time, quality);

Ensure the realization of APS Summary Preliminary Project (designs, plans, etc.) for projects below 100,000,000 FCFA in the above-mentioned specialties;

Participate in the APS of projects greater than or equal to 100,000,000 FCFA with the selected consulting firms;

Develop the tender specifications and Quantitative and Estimated Description (DQE), Carry out tender site visits;

Provide comments on technical and financial offers, make a provisional budget estimate;

Provide Layout Coordination (management of technical details);

Ensure the follow-up of the traceability of the requirements;

Elaborate the overall level 3 integrated planning;

Ensuring progress monitoring and reporting (KPIs, blocking points, etc.), daily planning updates, realistic projection curves for decisions;

Provide full-time day-to-day management of subcontractors and interfaces (civil engineering/framework, electricity, technical controls, piping, etc.);

Coordinate the site interventions of subcontractors;

Be responsible for Quality Assurance, Document management of the project (traceability of communications, request for modifications, Request For Information (RFI), etc.);

Organize, supervise and monitor quality control (Technical control, etc.);

Prepare and coordinate the different phases of the construction site;

Ensure the technical coordination of the works (Civil Engineering, Framework, piping and equipment assembly);

Realize, Control and validate the TQC plans (As Built) and manufacturer files;

Monitor supplies from suppliers or subcontractors;

Ensure on-site management of operating stakeholders (Zone 4 plant);

Perform cost control (TS, progress report, etc.);

Ensure claims management;

Supervise or participate in commissioning;

Guide the development and implementation of new technologies and improved facilities and operational processes

Comply with safety, quality and food safety instructions;

Participate in improving the “Barry Callebaut Excellence” culture on our site by proposing and committing to specific improvement actions;

About You:

Engineer’s degree in Industrial Engineering

7 years engineer Industrial Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, project planning…

Experience in the agro-industrial sector and having carried out large-scale projects will be an asset

Knowledge of project management software / Mastery of project management methods

Excellent computer skills and knowledge of design and visualization software.

Mastery of financial management knowledge and tools.

Management of supplies / Development of specifications, Construction and control of budgets, Cost analysis, Strategic and Operational planning

Ability to work with multidisciplinary projects.

Excellent organizational, time management, leadership and decision-making skills

Knowledge of applicable engineering codes, policies, standards and practices.

A perfect command of English.

Great technical knowledge in risk management.

Autonomous and responsible.

Having presence.

Have the qualities of a leader.

Rigorous and precise.

Having a great capacity for work.

Durable and versatile.

PMP or equivalent certificate
