Role Responsibilities/ Responsabilités du rôle

Role Purpose

Manage the Station facility, the sales acquisition and customer maintenance processes for defined customers and physical channels managed by the Relationship and Direct Business Units to achieve profitable revenue growth for DHL and improved customer satisfaction. Manage personnel in their provision of pick-up, delivery and shipment processing services. Ensure the execution of these services to defined service, cost and quality standards and achieve targeted improvement in operations performance measures.


Establish and implement business strategies that have a very significant impact on organisational objectives and business results. Make accurate decisions and recommendations that result in the achievement of business results and prevent substantial delays and additional expenditure.

Customer / Stakeholder

  • Provide best-in-class express transportation service to customers.• Communicate DHL progress activities and plans.• Promote company’s interest to expand customer base.• Support country manager with strategic business interest.• Liaise with Service Partners and Vendors, Airlines, Regulatory Authorities, Regional GMNC and GIS DPWN Partners.

Problem Complexity /


  • Develop and implement the Operations component of Annual Operating plans.• Perform management tasks with due regard to budgetary targets, service/ productivity levels and cost controls.• Set and achieve market leading Transit Time, Data Quality and Service Performance targets.• Manage the measurement, monitoring and actions for improvement.• Lead and direct the country Operations team.

People Management

  • Primary contribution is managing other people.• Leads a department via multiple levels of managers and supervisors OR directly supervises the senior or technical advisor level professionals.• Directs performance planning, coaching, and evaluation.• Approves pay adjustments and promotions.• Manages and responsible for results delivered for a major portion of a profit center, line of business, business process or department as part of the executive team of a department or area.



Bachelor Degree and 5+ years experience in related field, including at least 2 years of management experience. Has extensive depth and breath of expertise and experience in business/functional area. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of work supervised. Applies and/or develops highly advanced concepts. Analyzes and resolves complex cross-functional issues.
