Role Responsibilities/ Responsabilités du rôle

Job Purpose

To support the Yaounde Delegation technical leads in their work with technical units, country cluster support offices and national societies, for partnership and funding development in programming. Also, to provide support to the overall Program Departments as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The PRD intern will:

Support the Yaounde Delegation technical leads in the following tasks, among others:

Mapping of donors and partners

Identification of funding opportunities and development of concept notes

Research and analysis of information

Ethical screenings & due diligences

Pledge registration & management

Coordination with the respective focal points from the regional office and cluster/country offices

Job Duties and Responsibilities (continued)

Elaboration of tools, presentations, and documents for the department

Support coordination of partnership events and meetings

Support the work of the overall program staff as needed.

Other duties that may be required.

Education

Required

Studies or degree in International Affairs, Social Science or other relevant area.

Experience

Required

Experience in research or documenting

Good understanding of the humanitarian environment, strong analytical skills and capacity to translate analysis into strategy and planning

Experience in proposal development, report writing, and developing budgets

Experience of report writing (narrative and financial)

Experience of working for the Red Cross/Red Crescent in particular working with National Societies

Preferred

Data collection and analysis

Work or volunteer experience in the international humanitarian sector

Knowledge, Skills and Language

Required

Strong coordination and time-management skills

Strong research analysis and writing skills

Proven good judgment and ability to work with complete integrity and confidentiality.

Able to work on own initiative and solve problems

Ability to work within a multi-cultural, multilingual, multidisciplinary environment

Computer skills (Windows, spreadsheets, word-processing, other statistical software)

Fluent in written and spoken English and French

Preferred

Sound writing skills
