Role Responsibilities/ Responsabilités du rôle
Job Purpose
The PMER Intern assist operations to ensure the quality and timely delivery of all plans/appeals/reports; and work with IFRC staff and SNs in the Yaoundé Delegation to ensure compliance with IFRC planning, monitoring and evaluation and reporting standards. The intern will also support the production of any appeal revisions and contribute to the writing of proposals for donors
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the M&E Coordinator:
Assist operations/project managers and finance managers to help them understand the reporting schedules for all standard, non-standard and promise-based reports,
Assist project managers and finance managers to help them understand non-standard reporting requirements and formats
Work with project managers, national society staff and volunteers to identify existing monitoring and review mechanisms in the emergency action plan to be put in place and ensure that reports include accurate and relevant information,
Job Duties and Responsibilities (continued)
Analyse and present reporting data in a timely manner and in appropriate formats for different audiences,
Support operations managers/project leaders in the process of producing accurate, regular and timely narrative reports (operations updates, commitment-based reports, interim and final reports),
Perform other activities as required by the line manager
Education
Required
Studies or degree in International Affairs, Social Science or other relevant area or Master’s degree in translation or a related discipline and professional experience in an English, French or Spanish-speaking context.
Experience in emergency planning, monitoring and reporting
Experience of report writing (narrative and financial)
Preferred
Data collection and analysis
Work or volunteer experience in the international humanitarian sector
Experience of working for the Red Cross/Red Crescent in particular working with National Societies

Sound writing skills
Ability to organise, analyse and synthesise large amounts of information

Able to work on own initiative and solve problems

Computer skills (Windows, spreadsheets, word-processing, other statistical software)
Fluent in written and spoken English and French
