Role Responsibilities/ Responsabilités du rôle

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job: (Short description):

Enable the day-to-day management of content production and broadcasting to ensure a better understanding of MTN Cameroon’s missions, activities, initiatives and challenges, and a strong relationship with digital platforms key stakeholders.

Staff Leadership and Management

Ability to work in a team;

Responsible for self-learning and development with guidance from the Manager;

Ensure cohesive working with the CoE;

Accountable for meeting and prioritising own targets / deadlines;

Provide information to the Manager on work accomplishments, individual / team challenges;

Review performance metric dashboards prepared on various performance metrics and provide input to the manager

Operational Delivery:

Develop and produce various type of contents for multiple platforms

Drive campaigns across multiple platforms

Ability to write clear, engaging and consistent messaging with the organization’s target audience

Collaborate with external team members and help with content production, including checking for quality

Execute social media strategy and best practices across various social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

Work with ESG lead and champions to gather data and develop related content

Communicate directly with users via social media channels, responding to questions, engaging and being the voice of the organization

Improve social media presence and connect with the target audience through compelling and purposeful content placement

Research to identify new content areas and current, best practice digital strategies and online platforms

Track and analyze campaign effectiveness and performances across different channels

Assists with general copywriting needs and collaboration in the creation of content for internal and external channels, including emails, news sites, social media, marketing materials, and website

Provide major news organs and mass media with relevant information related to MTN;

Assist and guide the media on issues to ensure that informative and accurate stories about the company are written and published;

Manage Digital Media Stakeholder database

Identify and engage online advocates;


Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, digital marketing or related field


3-5 years of experience working in creating high-quality content and strong familiarity with video content creation, blogs, social media content, case studies, infographics, reports and more.

Excellent knowledge of MTN identity, history, culture and core values

Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently with strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent project management skills and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and firm leaders to develop and activate content

Think creatively and strategically

Strong writing and editing skills and the ability to understand target audiences and translate complex concepts into clear and engaging content

Organized and articulate, with impeccable attention to detail and hunger to contribute

Excellent project management skills and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to collaborate across internal teams to develop and activate content

Understanding of digital and social media best practices and platforms

Understanding of sustainability issues, SDG, CSR and ESG strategies
