As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Exhaust is seeking an eager and enthusiastic experienced Program Manager to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry who can provide a superb customer experience.

The Program Manager is responsible for working as a manager for assigned programs and projects. You will act as key customer contact and you will develop a clear understanding of all customer requirements, timelines, standards, and scope of work. The individual will liaison with suppliers, technology, and service providers and support internal departments. In this role, you will focus on customer satisfaction in all tasks and provide project leadership to ensure customer deliverables and program timing are met while exceeding customers’ expectations.

This position reports to PMO Manager.

What you will be doing:

Full Product Delivery Process ownership from concept to production to the end of production and service

Act as a company delegate and valuable customer touchpoint, striving to protect the organization from risk while enhancing the customer experience.

Ensure all program elements are being tracked to ensure profitability and timing commitments are being maintained.

Ensure changes in program status are efficiently communicated to all stakeholders.

Work closely with sales, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for global customer programs

Participate and lead continuous improvement efforts based on feedback from external and internal related performance indicators.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for business initiatives, including where necessary management approval requirements such as business case analyses

Participate in engineering design and productivity improvement initiatives and ensure that processes are capable of producing parts to specifications and annual production volumes.

Mastermind multiple project teams, and external/third parties, coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives ensuring program goals are reached

Work with sales, project managers, and cross-functional teams to identify risks and opportunities across programs and initiatives

Initiate and lead opportunities, developing where needed supporting approval requirements such as business case analyses

Analyze, evaluate, and overcome risks, and escalate appropriately when required

Develop assessment procedures for evaluation and improvement, and verification/validation procedures for changes to scope, cost, or timing

Produce regular program and initiative reports for management and stakeholders

Assist Sales in the day-to-day duties of program administration

Assist with program-related activities that include preparation, notes/documentation, and follow-up from internal and external meetings

Other duties as required

What you bring along:

A relevant Engineering degree from an accredited university

At least 3-5 years of proven effectiveness in project management in the manufacturing sector and in an APQP environment

Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in metal fabrication and welding

Six Sigma (Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt) training or certification is considered an asset.

PMP certification is considered an asset

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

Experience giving presentations to senior management regarding project status and results

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer skills (MS Office including previous use of MS Access, MS Project Software)

Adaptable with often changing and competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Occasional travel may be required
