Plant Manager

We are now looking for a Plant Manager to join our Central Africa Services Delivery team. The location for the position is in Port-Gentil, Gabon.

The Plant Manager is accountable of Planning, leading and managing operation and maintenance activities at the plant and assigned team in order to ensure customer satisfaction and to reach set contractual quality, financial, cost and time targets. Then ensure the operational & maintenance reliability and availability of the plant according to contract.

What Will You Be Doing

Plant performance indices

Development of competent contract management resources.

Operations & Maintenance management for assigned plant.

Responsible for all activities relating to the daily contract management at the power plant inclusive of planning and implementation of plant operations & maintenance.

Communicate effectively with the plant team relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance and to provide suggestions for improvements.

Administration and training of skilled and motivated contract management personnel to assure good teamwork.

Responsible for implementation of applicable plant safety policy.

Establish and implement standard Wärtsilä Services procedures and Contract Management. process.

Prepare reports, plans and budgets as instructed by the Agreement Manager.

Identify and actively seek to improve operational & maintenance reliability and availability.

Lead and follow-up the development of plant processes and procedures.

You will shine in this role, when you have

B.Sc or M.Sc in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent educational background.

Several years of relevant industrial experience and previous experiencefrom the Oil and Gas industryin Africa region is highly recommended.

A fluent of English and good level French

Good understanding of cost awareness and effectiveness, contract Management tools, contract planning and maintenance management.

We are seeking for an expert professional with strong problem solving and decision-making skill.

Understanding of Wärtsilä business and quality is a plus.

Good understanding of global HSE standards.

Ability to adapt to different cultures.
