Junior Behaviour Therapist, Accra, Therakidz
Role Responsibilities/ Responsabilités du rôle
Therakidz specializes in the treatment of developmental challenges, including but not limited to Autism and other related developmental disorders and delays. We employ a one-on-one
teaching methodology founded on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
Furthermore, we incorporate evidence-based elements of naturalistic teaching and
elements of occupational therapy and speech therapy methodologies.
In addition to one-on-one interventions, we collaborate with teaching and school support staff to enable learners to integrate into mainstream and remedial learning environments based on the learner’s individual needs and abilities.
Treatment programs encompass treatment targets across any or all domains of
development including language & Communication, social skills, motor skills, adaptive
(personal care) skills, play skills, cognition skills, executive Functions (Planning, problem
solving, attention and memory).
Therapy sessions occur on a regular schedule of sessions, with the goal being to enhance the
individual learner’s current skills and remediate any potential obstacles to learning and
independence. Interim supervision and training is provided every month, and in-person
supervision is provided every quarter, where treatment targets are reviewed, modified
What you’ll do at Therakidz…
Provide direct client care in a 1:1 setting utilizing behavioural therapy principles as set out in clients’ individualized treatment plans.
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behaviour.
Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with clients’ individualized treatment plans.

There is no need for prior experience for this role. So far as you care about children, especially children with special needs and are open to learning, we would love to work with you.
We will provide comprehensive training.
Completed or working towards an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Special Needs Education, Child Development or a related field.

Individual clients homes, school or community settings in and around Accra, Ghana
This position will report directly to the therapy team lead and clinical supervisor.
