Since our inception, we have been working non-stop to grow the Bongalo community, with offices in two countries, 400+ accommodations, 1000+ nights booked through our platform, it’s safe to say we are on track in fulfilling our mission. We hiring growth hackers to join our marketing team.

About The Role

As a growth hacker for Bongalo, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and optimizing growth channels to drive user growth, revenues growth, etc. Analyzing marketing data and users feedbacks, campaign results, conversion rates, and traffic to help shape future marketing strategies. This is a cross-functional role that works closely with internal teams to increase traffic and revenues for digital channels. You will utilize digital marketing strategies such as PPC or SEO to maintain and increase Bongalo’s customer base, also you will be creating and optimizing ways to enhance customer experience while overseeing all technical components of marketing campaigns. This role will combine your experience as a marketer and business developer, informed by your strategies, with the goal to grow our user base and revenue.


Developing and executing online and offline campaigns, including gamification, digital marketing, brand partnerships, on-ground activation to drive traffic to digital channels.

Identifying, developing, and optimizing growth channels to drive revenue growth.

Analyzing markets in data and uses feedback (campaign results, conversation rates, traffic e.t.c.) to help shape future marketing strategies.

Proposing initiatives to attract prospects and convert leads as well as testing new approaches to capture existing demand.

Provided input & expertise to drive efficacy of marketing activities (content development, optimization, advertising, etc)

Planning and executing initiatives to reach our target audience through different channels

Working closely across teams to share ideas feedback and present results.


To be successful in this role you will need:


Degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.

Possess excellent technical skills, leveraging data, metrics, analytics, and customers behavior trends to generate creative ideas.

A highly goal-orientated individual who is resilient in their pursuit of growth.

Experience in social networking, viral marketing, SEO, research, and analytics.

Open-minded, curious, and strong problem solver.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


Social media management experience

Advanced graphic design skills

Highly organized

Ability to immerse in a diverse team

Good time management skills

Creative, strategic, and analytical thinker

Must be fluent in English and French, and Kinyarwanda(for Rwandans)
