Earthworm Foundation (EF) is an international dynamic non-profit organization which helps companies transform their supply chains across the world for the benefit of people and nature.
EF is seeking a motivated, dynamic and friendly Senior Manager/ Global Lead Centre of Social Excellence, based in Yaoundé, Centre Region, Cameroon, with strong experience working with organizations to develop good stakeholder relationships with local communities, as well as experience running adult education trainings, fundraising and managing complex donor-funded projects. The Centre of Social Excellence (CSE) Global Lead will oversee all CSE activities, as well as lead the marketing, promotion and coordination of CSE activities for businesses, communities, government staff and individuals in order to increase CSE’s exposure and impact.
The selected candidates will be the CSE Global Team and will also support or lead on the implementation of projects in close collaboration with the Earthworm Foundation Central Africa Regional Head.
The Project Coordinator will report to the Head of Central Africa based in Yaoundé, will work in close collaboration with the Director of Programmes, with the Country heads and their respective teams, and with the other Programme Leads.

Responsibilities and Scope
Serve as the Lead Manager for CSE Global, including working with a team to develop the vision and strategy for CSE, fundraising, and managing all operational aspects of implementation;
Build and enhance the financial health and sustainability of the CSE Programme globally by developing fundraising and long-term funding strategies;
Represent CSE in public relations/liaison capacity on matters relating to the training centre and projects;
Design training programs based on the needs of companies, governments and NGOs related to improving relationships with local communities, and supporting community development in rural areas;
Ensure that the newest learnings related to best practices for ensuring Social License to Operate are incorporated into CSE trainings;
Design, develop and recommend new programs, projects and activities relating to training, research, and executive or student education;
Serve as a key liaison with a wide variety of external audiences, including companies and other organisations who will send staff for training and/or receive students for professional projects, donors who support the core work of the centre, and students who are seeking a career as a social manager working with companies, NGOs or governments;
Coordinate with key topical social experts to serve as trainers and advise on curriculum and student selection;
Coordinate with Universities and Training Centres to set up recruitment channels for high-quality students.
Contribute to Business Development to secure the financial resilience of the CSE
Lead on proposal development and securing funding from donors and other funders in collaboration with other Programme and Thematic Leads, Member Managers, Regional/country Heads and field teams;
Proactively look for additional partners / businesses;
Communicate and promote EF’s approach and vision to external audiences, particularly multi-lateral organizations and strategic entities (e.g., funders, donors, investors, foundations, etc.);
Co-design with the Communication team the internal and external communication strategy linked to the People component.
Ensure strong engagement and a quality delivery with Funders
Ensure high-quality management of funded contracts and projects, including development of financial and narrative reports, tracking of impact numbers, and building good relationships with funders;
Provide support to project managers involved in community & indigenous rights projects including CSE;
Ensure quality and on-time delivery (reporting, communication, etc.) for CSE Projects;
Support Country heads and Managers to ensure quality and on-time delivery (reporting, communication, etc.) by monitoring quality and appropriate staffing for community and indigenous rights-related projects taking place in the country;
Set up and implement solid impact measurement process aligned with the EF impact measurement approach (indicators, tracking tools, measurement, reporting);
Ensure a proper financial management of the programme (incomes, operational budget, HR costs).
Lead, engage and inspire the teams
For any CSE-related project, contribute to recruitment and internal role shifts inputs to ToR, capacity evaluation for the work funded and long-term strategy, participation in selection process for relevant Project managers etc.;
Regular check-ins with Country representatives;
Share best practices and systems that are directly relevant to the CSE teams;
Provide mentoring and training for new CSE staff;
Ensure CSE staff are equipped and properly skilled to achieve the vision.
Requirements – Candidate Profile Minimum Qualifications
Strong experience related to company-community relations, community development and community land rights with the ability to advise Earthworm teams on these matters, and strategize about how CSE can support the goals and vision of their regions / countries;
Strong at putting together proposals for companies and donors (written & financial);
Strong at managing workplans & budgets;
Experience with implementing best practices related to curriculum design, and coaching trainers;
Confident and experienced in providing adult education trainings and facilitating events;
Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND six to seven years’ administrative/coordinate project experience, including at least three years of supervisory experience; OR, Master’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four to five years’ administrative/coordinate project experience including at least three years of supervisory experience; OR, Ten to eleven years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate project experience, including at least three years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved;
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs;
Knowledge of various training and teaching methods;
Good knowledge of talent management and succession planning methods;
Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles;
Skills in budget preparation and forecasting;
Skills in both verbal and written communication;
Skills in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of self and others;
Experience in Mining Sector will be a plus.
Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
Working conditions / Physical effort:
Based in Yaoundé, Cameroon;
Regular national and international trips.
