Recruitment three (03) Research & Policy Fellows

With the support of Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Nkafu Policy Institute is very pleased to announce the recruitment of three (03) Research & Policy Fellows to expand its research portfolio and its engagement with policy stakeholders. We seek policy experts with diverse backgrounds but the three areas of particular interest are:

Economic and social policy,

Democracy and governance,

Women economic empowerment and gender equality.

Fellows may be appointed for a Full Time or Part Time basis.

The challenges facing Cameroon today and the Central African sub-region are extremely complex, requiring rigorous, evidence-informed research that promotes innovative and progressive policy prescriptions.

Nkafu seeks to expand its scholarly endeavors by recruiting mid-to-senior level researchers and creative thinkers to help it achieve its mission of advancing public policies that help all Africans prosper in free, fair, and democratic economies.

Reporting directly to the Director of the Nkafu Policy Institute, Research & Policy Fellows will be expected to publish in-depth, peer-reviewed articles and engage policy stakeholders, through various forums, in promoting research outputs. They will participate fully in ongoing IDRC-funded research on social entrepreneurship, women’s economic empowerment and gender equality. They will co-organize and participate in public events and work with the larger research staff at Nkafu.

Successful candidates will hold advanced degrees in their fields or have demonstrated work experience and scholarly output. Successful candidates will have the competence to pursue cutting-edge work and strong communication skills to influence public policy. Strong candidates will be Bilingual or have a working knowledge of both English and French.
